Intro to Still Life: delve into the basics of composition, color & oil painting

Location: Springville, UT at Leslie’s private studio / address provided after registration
Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM / break for lunch 12:30 - 1:30 pm
Class Size: limited at 5 / ensuring plenty of one-on-one instruction
This workshop is a two-day study in oil painting, with a particular emphasis on finding your personal artistic voice and creating with feeling. All skill levels are welcome, as Leslie will be working one-on-one with students for the majority of the workshop.
Leslie will bring her own unique aesthetic and explain how she combines the fundamentals of painting to create pieces that are unique, simple and full of life.
Each morning Leslie will do a group painting demonstration. Following each painting demonstration, the students will set up still life compositions of their own and paint them from life, while receiving one-on-one instruction.

canvas or gessoed panel
apron or clothing that can get paint on them

sweater (it gets chilly in the studio)
In the very rare event of an emergency or unavoidable natural disaster or act of God, the class may be cancelled. In this situation, all fees will be reimbursed to students in full. Students may cancel their workshop reservation and receive a full refund ONLY if cancelled more than 30 days in advance. A 50% refund will be available until 7 days before the workshop, afterwards refunds will not be available.
